Uncovering Psychosis and Dangerous Ideation

    SPEAKER: Shawn Christopher Shea, M.D.

Objectives:

  1. Be able to describe the phenomenology of both subtle and striking psychotic process, including the soft signs of psychosis.
  2. Be able to list the differing diagnoses in which psychosis shows itself.
  3. Be able to describe the specific types of psychotic process that can lead to suicide, violence, and self-mutilation.
  4. Be able to use a set of specific questions for uncovering both benign and dangerous psychotic process in a fashion that maximizes both engagement and validity.
